5/5 Perfect
Pitch
It's hard to justify
giving a pitching wedge five out of five
but the Mizuno Pro that lives in my bag
has done enough to warrant it I think.
The first point that seperates it from
other wedges I've played is the loft, I'm
sure it's stronger than normal wedges. It
certainly has a strong flight but it's so
easy to control that it makes a high
handicapper such as myself capable of
occasional moments of magic.
It's fitted with the same
stiff rifle shaft that I've got in all my
Mizunos and a Lambkin Crossline grip and
the combination just seems excellent for
any shots within 90 yards of the green (not
going to claim I can nuke a wedge 120
yards because I can't - got an 8-iron for
that shot).
Summary:
A cavity back
pitching wedge that's a little stronger
than most. Hits the ball true and is
great for little chips around the green -
a winner.
